Preparing for Your Forging Session

We are sure you're 'grinding at the steel' to get into the forge with our Dragons and Smiths. But there are just a few key things to remember before taking on the challenge.
Hydration
Merriment and potent Potables await most of your journeys at the Renaissance Festivals. Though we welcome you to enjoy your day, it may come to a halt if you've imbibed too thoroughly. Don't become the King or Queens new Jester or Town Fool. (In plain English, don't drink too much alcohol as to where you will be unsafe for our Smiths and other Guests. Staff on site will have you stop your session, and the smith will complete the item for you. You are more than welcome to watch.)
Whether or not you are a water nymph, or a witch allergic to water - please ensure that you take care of your body and hydrate the day before, and the morning of your session. This will ensure you have the stamina to complete a Quest worthy of our Dragon Warriors.

Costumes and Royal Garb Forging is no simple or easy feat. You will
be testing your strength and perseverance. A large part of your success will be in the outfit you are wearing. We recommend removing any furs, grieves, cloaks, or other heavy outerwear. Our staff on site may hold your items during your session. (If they are forgotten with us, they might be used as shop decor the following season and become permanent fixtures of our Dragon Forges. We thank you for your tribute in advance ;)
Festival Admission and Punctuality
Don't forget to also purchase your Festival tickets in advance. The North Carolina Festival tends to sell out fairly often. Texas, less so, just due to it being the largest Renaissance Festival in the country! But a pre-booked forging session does not allow you onto the festival grounds - just an expressed sign-up process at our booths.
We also ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before your appointed time. This allows our staff on site to check you in, finish taking payment, and give you enough time to decide on any upgrade options. If you are late to your appointment, we will do the best we can to accommodate you. If you have any questions regarding time-zone, please reach out via e-mail.
If you are unable to attend your appointment slot, please let us know 24 hours in advance. We are able to apply your pre-book deposit to a future date until the end of the 2027 Festival season(yes, up until next year).
